A maximum of 100 boats are permitted for the Brassfahrt 2023. Sailors of all ages with a wide range of experience are welcome, the "one-handed sea dog" as well as family crews. In addition to the sporting race, the focus for the organizer team is also safety, fun and the get-together of everyone involved. The clubhouse of the LYC directly at the Leuchtenfeld in Travemünde will again be the headquarters. The race can be followed live during the entire event via a tracker both in the clubhouse and on the Brassfahrt website. The starting signal for the individual groups, beginning with the smallest sailing yachts, is fired in rapid succession about 2 nm from Travemünde on the Bay of Lübeck. Starting from the starting line, the course leads all boats directly in the direction of Travemünde, so that interested spectators can experience the start of the regatta live from Saturday afternoon directly from the Nordermole. From December 18th, 2022 to January 1st, 2023 there will be discounted tickets for the participating boats.
course
An approx. 100 nautical mile long course is sailed through the Bay of Mecklenburg. From the start in front of Travemünde, if the wind is westerly, it goes via Heiligendamm in the direction of Rødbyhavn and then east past Fehmarn back to Travemünde. If the wind is from the east, the order will be sailed in the opposite order.
